CONCRETE FINISHER
Osco requires a concrete finisher to join our team. The position involves removing and replacing sidewalks, driveways, steps, etc., in residential and commercial settings.
Basic work tasks/skills include:
- Meeting with supervisors to discuss jobs for the day.
- Organizing materials and equipment for jobs.
- Perform inspections on equipment in the yard and then safely transport it to the site.
- Performing site reviews and safety meetings / completing safety paperwork
- Assist the Foreman in organizing crew tasks on site and ensuring safe and efficient work procedures are completed.
- Saw cutting, chipping, breaking, and removing concrete.
- Using a skid steer and mini-excavator for moving, loading, and unloading materials.
- Setting proper elevations and installing formwork.
- Placing and finishing Redi-Mix concrete.
Minimum job qualifications:
- Class 5 license and clean abstract
- Physically fit, able to lift 50lbs unassisted, and complete all work required for the position.
- Experience towing trailers and equipment.
- Experience operating equipment, including skid steer, mini excavator, and concrete buggy, is a definite asset.
- Good problem-solving abilities to determine efficiencies on projects.
- Fluent in English to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with supervisors, crew, and customers.
Mostly Monday to Friday with some Saturdays.
Wage commensurate with experience: $25.00 – 35.00 per hour.
POLYURETHANE TECHNICIAN
Osco requires an EXPERIENCED Polyurethane Foam Technician to lift sunken concrete for customers, including driveways, sidewalks, patios, garages, etc.
Previous experience lifting concrete or insulating with Polyurethane Foam is required.
Basic work tasks/skills include:
- Operating electronic polyurethane mixing equipment in a truck to ensure correct end-use material.
- Void filling and lifting concrete slabs within tolerances set out by Osco Estimators.
- Sawcutting, Drilling, chipping, and patching concrete.
- Liaise directly with homeowners and other customers to ensure satisfaction.
Minimum job qualifications:
- Class 5 license and clean abstract
- Physically fit, with good mobility, and able to lift up to the top 50 lbs.
- Good problem-solving abilities to determine efficiencies on projects.
- Fluent in English to communicate verbally and in writing with customers and supervisors.
Ability to be trained in other types of repair work as required by the company so they can be a versatile part of the team.
Mostly Monday to Friday with some Saturdays.
Wage based on experience.
The minimum starting wage is $24 per hour, dependent upon previous direct Polyurethane experience.
